Looking for a camp job? Consider these questions before starting your search-

Summer Camps all over the United States and Canada are looking for staff for the upcoming summer. Most camps require that counselors have at least a year of college (or similar experience) and have a genuine interest in working with children. Ask yourself these questions to narrow your search:

• Would you like to be a cabin counselor or an activity instructor (or both)?
• What type of activity would you like to instruct?
• In what region of the country would you like to work?
• Many camps require personal interviews- are you ready to travel to the camp?
• What type of camp do you want- wilderness, private, Boy Scout, YMCA, Girl Scout, religious, competitive, non-competitive, coed, boys, girls, sports, adventure? The list goes on- there are all types of camps!

Camp Illahee

• JOB DESCRIPTION: Come make a difference this summer at our summer camp for girls in Western North Carolina! We are looking for mature, caring, responsible adults who love working with children in an outdoor setting. Counselors live in a cabin with campers and teach in one or more activity areas.

Camp High Rocks

• Camp High Rocks, a private summer camp for boys in Western North Carolina, has cabin counselor and activity instructor positions for its summer season.
• Counselor instructs in one or more activities during the day. Instructor Positions Available: Archery, Crafts, Canoeing, Horseback Riding (English), Hiking and Backpacking, Mountain Biking, Riflery, Rock Climbing, Swimming, Sailing, Soccer, and Tennis.
• Male applicants would also be a cabin counselor for group of 6 boys. All counselors should be at least 19 years of age or rising college sophomore.
